If you are going to have twins or have twins how were they in your family?

My husband is a twin and I was wondering if we would have any chance if twins... from what I was ready it was mainly in the mother’s side to be passed down. What is everyone’s experiences?

Fraternal twins run genetically through the mothers side, because it is the mothers body that has to produce two eggs at once, and a man has no effect on that.
Identical twins are a mutation that randomly occurs and family history has no effect on their likelihood.
If you have daughters they could be more likely to have twins if your husband is a fraternal twin and passes down the ovulate-two-eggs gene.

My Dad & Mum have multiple sets of twins within their immediate family. 
This pregnancy suffered with vanishing twin before 8 weeks, the sac was visible on first ultrasound.
Your husband being a twin or having twins shouldn't affect your pregnancy. 
To have twins this has to comes from your genes, you've inherited from your parents. 
However he could pass his genes on, should you have a daughter- this COULD potentially enable her to ovulate multiple eggs, thus have twins. 
Alternatively you could randomly have identical twins, which is completely random.
