Paragaurd; who's had it awhile?

Question

I've had the hormone-free copper IUD Paragaurd installed for about seven years. Anyone else had theirs for as long or longer? 
I'm curious if I should be concerned about it becoming less effective and also wondering what others have been told about how long they last.
Where are my copper IUD sisters at?! 😆💃🤞

I've had mine for 9 years now. I get it checked annual to make sure it's in the right place still and therefore would work properly. I've never been told it's less effective over time as long as it is in the right place and not attached to the uteran wall :)

I do! It’s a 10 year IUD and so far no issues! I’ve only had mine for 2 years now, but I love it! My dr didn’t mention anything of sorts about its functionality becoming less with time. Just at the 10 year mark it would need to be removed and a new one placed.

I thought IUDs only lasted 5 years... I’ve never had one in for 7 years??? And Ive been using them now for 20 years.
