I really don’t get my boyfriend’s logic?

We’ve been together for a year and he hasn’t brought up meeting his mom or my family. Although I haven’t really brought it up either. I feel like guys normally take the lead and just take you to their families...

When I brought it up, he said I never seemed interested in meeting his mom or brought it up ever. And that he hinted that he wanted to meet my family.

I just don’t understand why he couldn’t say he was interested in meeting them instead of hinting it.

I really don’t get my Bf at all and it’s frustrating me. Because I see couples who are with each other’s families all the time and it makes me sad that he’s fine with not meeting Anyone.
