Baby girl Ellie!💜
Sooo my baby girl is now almost a month old, but I just joined so I’m posting this now😁
I’m 19 years old, I was 18 when I found out I was pregnant. Me and my fiancé were both very excited. We had been together for about a year and we lived together and were happy, so we were happy to bring a baby into the world! It wasn’t planned but it also wasn’t a surprise since we weren’t using any protection and we had talked about having children together before anyways!
So the weekend before Ellie was born I was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia at 35 weeks and a few days, I was in the hospital all weekend, then sent home and told to reduce my activity and watch my blood pressure. The next weekend, around 2 AM on Sunday morning, I started feeling horrible, I checked my blood pressure and it was very high so I called the dr that was on call, and he told me to come in. I was admitted to labor & delivery and was started on pitocin to induce labor! I was terrified! I had an epidural around 2 pm. I was in labor for 18 hours and pushed for 3 and a half hours. She was born at 12:30 AM on July 30, and weighed 8 lbs, 20.5 in long. I had her at 36 weeks and a few days so she had to go to the NICU for 24 hours to be on a cpap machine, since her lungs were slightly underdeveloped, and antibiotics. And we got to go home almost a week later because my blood pressure wouldn’t go back to normal until then!😁
