What makes a woman ready for a child?

Question

How do you know when you're ready vs. Having a desire to have a family but not being ready? I made a post talking about my age and my desire to have a kid, my situation with my s/o, and I got some feedback saying that I wouldn't be a responsible mother. I think it was because I'm in my early 20's? But i think just because I'm young doesn't mean I wouldn't be a good mom. Please constructive / non rude or nice comments only.

I’m 23 and we’re trying for a baby now. I’m married, both of us are financially stable and independent, we both have cars, we rent a condo right now but are buying a house in July 2019. But honestly if my situation was any different I don’t think I’d be trying. I think it’s important to be at a good place in your relationship, have your own place, have cars, and be financially stable.

I think a lot of people always have the desire but aren’t ready to give up their lifestyles. When you’re not ready to sacrifice things in your daily life for children, then you’re not ready. However knowing you are ready to give up some things to become a mother means you are ready... i think it’s kinda a thing that when you know, you just know. Remember though that you don’t have to give up everything or who you are just to have children, but sacrifices always play in when deciding to have children.

Kids take much more than they give long before you start really getting back. 
If you aren’t ready for that it can be hard handling giving up your life and yourself for them. It’s hard on your partner too if you are raising them together. Perhaps something indicated to a commenter one of these things would be a big issue for you?
My partner wants kids and I’ve been considering the idea too - but I’ve been struggling with my mental health where having a kid would take a bit more than I have to give right now. So everything else is all good, except myself. 
Only you know yourself, and your partner - just make sure your brutally honest with yourself about what it might be like and if you’d be ok with what that might mean for you.

Having a baby is hard. Hard on the relationship, finances, and mental health too. I suggest getting married before getting pregnant because I've seen so many couples break up after having a baby. If you both can commit to a marriage you'll have a better chance of staying together. Having a child before marriage was nerve racking for me. I was terrified that he would decide to leave. Never has and we are getting married in October. It's been really had financially as we are paying back student loans and slowly getting on our feet. And mentally it's hard too, I always feel that I'm being judged or that no one will trust my opinion because I'm a young mom. Having a child is a huge responsibility and you have to understand that a healthy pregnancy/baby is not a guarantee.

What helped me understand that my husband and I were ready we're: our relationship ( and where we were, our communication), our financials, our ages, our education, etc. We are in our prime and were and are ready. Anyways, the baby is here (10mo) and here we are. Talking about a few more.
