IUD????

Question

I’m really trying to figure out if I should get an IUD, I’m 21 and i just had my first son and honestly it sounds like it would be so much easier to get one, no pills to remember and all that but I’ve just read so many horror stories about them and I’m actually so scared to end up being another one! 
Please tell me your stories, good or bad~ I really don’t know if I would or just stick with the pill

Love my mirena IUD! I had my first one in place for five years, had it removed (super simple and painless) and got pregnant two months later and just had another one put in. Don’t have to remember a pill every day, much fewer side effects versus the pill for me (I literally was so nauseous on the pill I vomited most mornings), and my periods stopped completely. It has been the absolute best birth control for me and I’ve tried pretty much everything.

you can look up the possible side effects. they're extremely uncommon but it's still up to you whether or not it's worth the risk or not. I decided they were. and it completely changed my life in a positive way. I'm too absent minded for the pill so I knew something I just get out in and forget about for 5 years would be my safest bet. I used to have extremely heavy and excruciatingly painful periods, but after 6 months of being on Mirena I stopped having periods all together. It was nice not needing to buy tampons and not having to worry about starting early and not being prepared or ruining clothes from leaks. but mostly it was great not being crippled over in pain for a full week out of the month. I'm getting it again during my 6 week checkup.

I had one and loved it. Eventually lost my period entirely. When I was ready to have it removed it was quick and only felt a pinch.

Its great. I had copper iud for the last 5 years no bad experience at all except that i had longer periods probably about 10 days, But not heavy. Removed it last week cause ttc.  Hopefully i can get pregnant soon. 4th baby. ❤️

Had mirena IUD and it was terrible. I bleed constantly, puked almost every day, stopped eating, and it had already moved within the first 3 months I had it. Had it removed by month 5 after consistent heavy periods and puking all the time. I also know women who it's worked for such as my SIL. Every woman is different and will react differently to it.

I had nexplanon implant. Its for 3 years inside your arm. Im getting it again after I give birth to my daughter

I had one after giving birth to my son. I had no issues at all. I had the Skyla, and I never got a full period, just occasional spotting. I will have a new one put in in two weeks. This time I’m getting the Liletta, which I guess is like the Skyla.

I got the mirena last month and it perforated my uterus and now I have to get surgery to have it removed😭😭 I was so excited about it too! I think it might have happened during insertion.
