"Everything is Political"

If this has already been posted I'll take it down. So while I was at work on Friday, two colleagues were in somewhat of a debate.

Both were in my office and colleague A said, "I'm so tired of EVERYTHING being political. Why can't we just relax? Not everything is that deep." Colleague B responded with, "It's not that simple because everything you do and believe in is political on some level. The way you treat people, the way your taxes are spent, your daily interactions, they are all political."

This went on for about twenty minutes. It was an interesting take as I've heard the saying before but never made out what I meant until I a.) Used the Google and b.) Listened to what Colleague B was saying and explaining.

What are your thoughts? Do you think the saying is accurate?
