Wedding/engagement ring stories

I say a post earlier about colored rings and it made me think of how me and my husband got my ring. We both had just barely started our jobs earning minimum wage, we didn’t have much but he wanted to get me a ring that I loved and not settle on something that was mediocre. So we set of together and went to several different shops to look at rings, I was looking at the normal diamonds tried a few on, I’m a very simple nonflashy person so when I tried a ring on that was well over 7grand I about died, I literally took it off so fast (worried that I would break it or something). As we were leaving I happened to have glanced at the colored gems and feel in love with the aquamarine rings, there was one that I absolutely adored it was a three stone with the middle the aquamarine and the two sides diamonds, but it was just a bit over our budget and there was no way we could get it. So we pressed forward, and ended up looking at a pawn shop, and there it was almost the exact ring that I fell in love with at the other store. I tried it on and it fit so perfectly, we both looked at each and he says “that’s one isn’t it” I could hardly speak. I turned around and looked at the rest of the shop as he purchased it. Just to make it feel like how other guys buy rings and be a some what surprise I guess.

The diamonds may not be real and may not be your traditional way of buying rings but I absolutely love it.
