Late period

I took birth control for 2 months max starting in February. I will be the first to admit that I didn’t stick with it but that’s my choice so whatever. I have been off it for a while but I was 39 Dad late for my period. 39!!! So I took a test st my 13 day mark and it was negative. My period is late a lot so I wasn’t nervous honestly. But after I reached around 25 I started to get nervous. So day 39 comes around and I start cramping intensely at work. Went to the bathroom and I had my period but it was really light. Like lighter than normal. And when I got home it was even lighter than before. I’m just nervous because I called my mom and she thinks I should go to the Er and that I might’ve had miscarriage. But don’t go to the Er until I have a fever. I’m super nervous and her comment reallly freaked me the fuck out. I just need some input really
