HSG 👎🏼

Today I went in for my HSG testing after over a year TTC with no success. My blood work came back normal earlier in the week so I went in being optimistic. After a painful first attempt, my doctor proceeded again and then sat me down. She explained that it looks like both tubes were blocked and I would have to come in again next month to have the test ran again. Now I am all about making sure that is the problem but these tests aren’t cheap and my out of pocket is $500.00, which I will now have to pay again next month. She didn’t look or sound hopeful about the test results and immediately mentioned ivf... which of course is not covered by our insurance at all. Has anyone had a similar HSG experience? I’m already frustrated and stressing about the potential cost of ivf
