How are you going to tell your parents and in laws??

Anyone live far away and can’t tell them in person?

We FaceTimed our immediate family via FaceTime they all live at the other side of the world and we won’t see them until after the baby’s born.

We’ve made little boxes with grandparent name options in them and a name tag in each that we are sending them for my parents as this is going to be their first grandchild. We will get them to open it while we are on FaceTime or something to see their reactions.

We live on one continent, parents live on another, and in-laws live on a third. For our first baby, we sent them a sound clip of the heartbeat and just had them figure it out. We were Skyping at the time and said ‘hey listen to this crazy thing we heard the other day’.

Mine live far away as well, but I think we’ll try not to say anything until they come visit us at the end of October. It’ll be like, “welcome to our home...and here’s my bump”! Maybe FaceTime? That’s the closest thing to being together in person. Or you could mail them a gift that says to FaceTime when they open it, and it’s cute baby stuff or a grandparent onesie.
