if I go in for postpartum depression meds will hey report me,  I know of a lady who went in and they had children and youth investigate and she lost her kids just bc she told then how she was feeling,  I have 5 but I don't feel like I'm going to hurt them just that it's to much for me to handle I just feel depressed

They shouldn't report you unless you are at risk for hurting yourself or your child

The lady you know who lost her kids, isn’t telling you the whole story! As long as you’re not having thoughts of hurting yourself of your kids, you will not be reported. They will actually recognize that you made a step to get help!

I walked into my doctor's office and told her that I had intrusive thoughts about shaking my baby. No one reported me, they commended me for coming forward and I found a psychiatrist who specializes in postpartum psychosis. All in all, it was a win and my baby is a happy, healthy 10 month old now.

No I went in and wasn't reported. But your friend had to of had thoughts of hurting her child to get reported. But that is a part of ppd with some people. Calling cps is just a precaution.

No you won’t get reported at least i don’t think you should i had ppd but according to my doctor it was too late to have ppd (i was 5 months postpartum) which i didn’t think was to late so i ended up going to get help and went through my emergency room and then ended up staying at a behavioral hospital for a couple of days which definitely did help. Went home after a couple of days and never had any problems with cps or anything like that especially because i knew i didn’t want to hurt my kids (i have 4) i was just very overwhelmed with everything going on. If your having PPD please get help. It sucks and there is help. There are so many women who have it, and no they won’t report you unless something is really wrong.
