Drunk babyshower

I had my baby shower September 1st. It was NOT what I expected. I want to say my fiancé and I are definitely appreciative of the babyshower.

Anyways,

My MIL/her family put together a babyshower for my fiancé and I. It was so beautiful. It was safari theme which matches the nursery. It was also bbq style coed. We definitely enjoyed it, but alcohol was served..... I was okay with the alcohol because I just wanted people to enjoy themselves, because it was the first time all of our family would be around each other. Well my MIL decided she was going to pregame before people showed up and continue to drink throughout the babyshower 2-8. She was already drunk🤦🏽‍♀️ by 2. She was so loud and obnoxious people just laughed awkwardly. She got even worse and that’s when my fiancé and I were so annoyed. She started to make comments about my belly “you actually look pregnant and not fat” okay I ignored that comment. THEN she started bashing her own son in front of guests saying he is not going to be a good father, he’ll be at her door 24/7 wanting help, he’s clueless. To top it off she pitched a fit because I refuse to name our baby Charlie after her dad....🙄🤦🏽‍♀️we were so embarrassed my family doesn’t drink so they just went along with it. His family left early because they couldn’t deal with it. My fiancé finally had to literally tell her to chill so she ended up passing out midday 🙄. But I loved the party regardless. Just needed to ramble.
