HELP! Nothing on US at supposed 6 weeks- 1st pregnancy
I went to my doctor this morning 9/1/18, it was my second US (nothing found in 1st US either Dr. said it could be too soon), however, nothing was seen. My hCG levels are in the 4,000’s according to my second blood test this past Wednesday went from 2,762 on Monday to 4,700, so something should have been seen, according to what a very cruel and cold PA said to me today.
She said my uterus was thick and looked great; there was no fluid in the pelvis, which was great; my tubes and ovaries were also, great; and finally, after so many ‘greats’, so many smiles and telling me how wonderful everything looked, she finished by telling me I’d need to go across the street to the hospital, in order for them to discard an ectopic pregnancy. She said that due to her inability to find an embryo or a sac, or anything for that matter, it meant I would suffer a miscarriage or had an ectopic pregnancy and advised me to “prepare myself for the loss” and left the room.
She wouldn’t hear that my menstrual cycle ranges from 32-36 days and moreover, I ovulated around July 31-Aug 3 which, by my calculations, does not place me at 6-7 weeks, especially when I experienced implantation bleeding around Aug. 17. How can they determine pregnancy from the 1st day after your last period, if that’s not when I became pregnant?! I monitor my periods and ovulation very closely and am aware of my body and its cycles. Why won’t anyone listen to me and give me any hope that perhaps it’s too soon?! I believe I’m somewhere from 4-5 weeks. Someone please for the love of my dear God help me because I am losing my mind researching and counting days and symptoms. Please someone help! I have NO cramping, NO bleeding, NO pain! I do however, have sore breasts, sensitive nipples, cravings, mood swings, food aversions, no morning sickness though, and that, the PA said was also a sign of an unviable pregnancy... please tell me I’m right, please tell me my baby still has a chance... please!
