Does your husband have a child?

My husband has a son from his previous relationship. Sometimes I struggle with the fact that having a child isn't something he will only be sharing with me. (If that makes sense) 
In a way I resent him, especially because the mother of his child is such a big part of our life and no matter what he's wrapped around her finger.
Please tell me someone else has feelings like this.

You resent him for having a child with someone other than you? I'm sorry but that's harsh. You should be thankful he's a good father and has a good co-parenting relationship with his ex. That's a good man right there. If you can't get over it I think your time would be better spent with someone else.

I think that's normal. My hubby has a 7 year old daughter and we have 50/50 custody but like you said, we have to deal with her mom a lot. I think I get what you're saying. Like when you get pregnant you'll be experiencing this for the first time and he won't. My hubby said something about when his ex was pregnant the other day and I was like, UMM yea lets not go there. I just am not interested in hearing about the time they were together. I don't resent it or anything it's just that he's been through it before and not with you. You're not alone.
