not connected?

Has anyone else not felt a connection to their little one while pregnant? This is my 3rd pregnancy and I am current 18w3d but I do not feel any type of connection with this one. With my other 2 pregnancies I was over the moon thrilled as soon as I got the positive test and I was in love as soon as I heard the first heartbeat. This go around I have had 2 ultrasounds and have heard baby's heartbeat several times but still no connection. I'm wondering if that will come at some point between now & delivery or if I should be concerned about my feelings. I go to the dr Tuesday and plan on discussing this with her but just wanted to see if there was anyone else who felt this way....

I kinda felt like that with all of mine. It changes once they are actually here for me.

I only have the one but I had no connection to him until he was a few weeks old. I always thought pregnancy would be magical and special and honestly I hated being pregnant and he felt like a stranger.

I’ve not been connected to either of my baby’s until they were born. My first even took a few weeks after birth!

I think it’s pretty normal. I felt more connected with my first pregnancy. But this one, it’s still unreal sometimes to me. But I don’t have any doubts about feeling more of a connection once she is here. Life is just busy and so much is going on sometimes that connecting to our unborn babies isn’t the number one thing on our to do list.

With my son, I was so stressed out and emotional (his bio dad was abusive to me and we were homeless up until he ended things and ran off like a coward while I was in the hospital for dehydration and I moved back in with my parents) that I felt like Inwas dreaming and reality didn't sink in until they laod him on my chest for skin to skin and I heard his crying and he gripped my finger with his tiny hand 😭 Currently pregnant with #2 and about to have any day now and feel a little connection with her but I know it'll be stronger once she's here especially since her dad (my SO 😍 love of my life and soulmate) is so involved and will be sticking around
