4’9 and pregnant can it cause issues?

So my friend or so called told me that since I’m so small and have a tiny frame I won’t be able to carry my baby to full term 😒 stupid right I’m only 8 weeks and 4 days through out my whole life I’ve always been tiny and I can’t help it it’s not my fault. I don’t know where the hell she got it from but she told me I might have trouble giving birth my baby is going to come out preterm just always something negative and since it’s hard for me to eat with this pregnancy i don’t really have an appetite ill eat little by little I won’t gain any weight she has no kids but she never said anything positive about me being pregnant since I’m so small my height and weight is going to affect my pregnancy. Already did ultrasound at 7 weeks baby has a strong heartbeat and is healthy my ob gyn wasn’t really concerned about anything it just pisses me off

I will say this pregnancy will be hard on your body, when you are smaller you could get as big around as you are tall! (Well not quite 😉) and if your hips are not wide enough then you may have issues in birth. Now, with that being said; it doesn’t always work that way. You can have a totally normal and healthy pregnancy. I am 5’9 and have had my own sets of issues, back labor, hips not fully opening, pushing then had an emergency C-section. Birth is hard for everyone, just embrace what you are doing and take care of yourself.

My mom was a super tiny person and she had 3 kids!! She carried full term every time if not a couple days late and we were all a healthy weight as well. It just depends on you! But I’m sure you will be perfectly fine 🙂

Some people apparently still belief that you need wide hips to successfully carry children and have big boobs to successfully breastfeed. Ironically I am the smallest at 5’2 and 98 lbs and the only one out of all my family and friends that didn’t have any symptoms or complications. I have very easy pregnancies, hardly any symptoms with my daughter and none with my son. I gave birth all natural at 38 weeks and 5 days, had super short labor and my daughter was 18 inches, 6.15 lbs. I am currently 33 weeks with my son and he is projected to be about the same. I am just preparing for him to come before 40 weeks just because I feel he’ll run out of room around 38 weeks.

My friends daughter is legit like 4’7 and 93lbs pre pregnancy. Has rods in her back for a disease/illness she has and delivered natural with no meds because she cldnt have meds with her condition and the rods. Yes she had complications afterwards and the birth was ruff. But ur just small compared to her story. If ur doctor don’t think u will they will tell u.

I've never made it past 37weeks this is my fourth baby I'm 5'3 an 100lb an was told im just to small to carry full term. but my sister is the same as me an carried my niece to 43weeks.
