Why do you think Kimberly isn’t trending right now?

With stand alone Kimber becoming trendy and anything ending in -ly having blown up recently, why don’t people consider the name Kimberly?

Because all these moms are trying “unique names” now even though they’re not unique anymore because everyone else is doing it as well..

Trends come and go. A lot of very decent names just aren't being used right now. ...Stacey, Stephanie, Tracey, Rebecca, Michelle, Erin....they're all great solid names, but people right now are either opting for very old names or "unique" names.

I have wondered the same thing about Beverly. Nobody seems to like it, but you take the B out and get Everly and suddenly everyone loses their minds for it 🤷‍♀️

Because its an old name that hasn’t made its way back around. My mom is a Kimberly but she’s in her 50s

Kimberly was very 80s for me. As in, girls born in the late 70s/early 80s. Give it another 20 years, or, if you like it, go for it!

I think it’s more in the common names basket. My cousin in Kimberley but hardly gets called that.

Because it was very trendy 50 years ago. Most names that were trendy 50 years ago sound dated and middle aged today, and are not popular. Give it another 50 years, and Kimberly will sound stylish and cool again.
