DAE LO doesn’t nap or has been fighting their nap?

Question

Yeah, so for almost 2 weeks now my LO has been fighting all her naps! AM and PM. We did the one nap at noon and that worked for 2 days and she napped longer but the past week she just won’t nap. She’s pretty happy though, the only time she’s upset is when I try to put her down for a nap. Should I just give up and not bother with naps? I’m worried that she’s not getting the developmental benefits of baby naps...and also I need to clean my house 😂

I wouldn’t give in. I would continue to lay your LO down. They’re stubborn but they’re also testing.. But if you continue to be consistent, eventually they get it. I know it’s hard. But you’re right, they do need naps, even though they may seem happy without. Think of the long road ahead. 😴 It’s worth the trouble now, in my humble opinion.

Lately I’ve been having a struggle with putting my son down for his naps. The other night we were up every hour with him and then he didn’t want to go down at all in the afternoon but he was showing he was tired so I rocked him and let him fight it and then when I would need a break I’d just put him down in his crib to let him crawl around it and then he’d eventually start to cry so I’d wait a little then go back and continue rocking. He eventually gave in and went for his nap which did last 2 hours.

Same here. I’m guessing it’s the 9 month sleep regression. Still doing what I can to get him to sleep. Hang in there!
