IUI symptoms

Hello, my wife and I are in the process of trying for number 2. We did IUI yesterday. I vaguely remember with my son having symptoms right away but given it was 3 years ago, I don’t remember how soon. Is it normal to just be drained after the procedure? I feel like it’s just a release of built up energy going into the whole process plus having a toddler.... what day would be the best day to test? Obviously the longer we wait the better, I tested two days before missed period with my son because we thought I was getting really sick and remembered that oh yeah, I could just be pregnant!
