Cloth Wipes??

My husband and I took a newborn care class recently and the instructor recommended using cloth wipes for baby. My husband is now all about this and insisting we use cloth wipes. I’ve never even thought about that as an option and I would like to find out more information about it.  I saw you can make your own or buy them online. Also some recommend pre wetting them and storing in a wipe warmer. Any moms that use cloth wipes that can give me their opinions/tips?

Yeah- I mean, cut up rags or old towels and use those. I personally wouldn’t- I’ve had to clean up blow outs where I’m using 15 wipes for one change. Regardless, you’ll go through hundreds. Newborns go to the bathroom a crazy amount. I was going through like 20 diapers a day, multiple poops. So I’d say MINIMUM 35-40 a day. Look up how mom’s clean and sanitize cloth diaper-it would be the same process for cloth wipes. you’d need a sprayer probably connected to your toilet to rinse off the poop and a bucket to soak the dirty wipes in, between washes. Seriously- look it up. 
If you’re worried about chemicals in wipes- I’d just opt for buying ‘Water Wipes’ brand.

I use them and cloth diapers. My LO is allergic to regular wipes,  but we do use water wipes as well. I didnt really research as much as i should but i just keep a spray bottle of water and a drop of soap next to the wipes and spray the wipes as I use them?!

I use cloth wipes but I also cloth diaper. I don like to use wipes at all because I see it as rubbing soap on the baby and not rinsing it. And I mean I don't wash with soap every time I pee 🤷

At the hospital they had us use squares of gauze. We just had to set them first. I took every single one that was left home 😂😂😂

I haven’t started yet but I joined some local groups as well as Fluff Love on Facebook. There’s a group on here too! 
I ordered my first 30 cloth diapers (Mama Koala) and flannel cloth wipes from amazon. Today I looked up cloth wipe solution and I’m going to use a mix of water, aloe, coconut oil, and baby soap 😁 Most moms who use this mix along with the wipes and diapers say their babies have never had a rash. I tested out multiple disposable wipes on my face since it’s the most sensitive skin on me and I didn’t react well to any of them so it’s not something I would ever use on my baby.

Well I’m the uk all hospitals and midwifes recommend cotton wool for the first couple weeks as wipes arent good for newborn skin
