My friend just recently told me they have herpes but she takes medication for it to help not spread it. But her sexual partners don’t know ... should I say something?

That depends on how recent she found out. If it was last week, then every partner she had deserves to know FROM HER.
She should be a responsible adult and inform them before they end up unknowingly infecting an innocent person.
During an outbreak it could be spread through kissing if on the lip or any contact with the infected sore (like a cup or drinking straw if they're sharing drinks)

i dont think you should be the one to tell the partner/s she should so they can make the choice on either wanting to continue with having sexual relations with her or not. while medication can help not spread it it is not a guarantee and she should be making the people she is sleeping with aware so they can decide on what they want to do otherwise she is just putting their health at risk without their knowledge.
