Birth control

So it’s my first time using birth control and I finished my first month and it’s been four days I’ve been on the sugar pills and I saw a little bit of blood when I wiped so I thought it was my period. But it’s not coming down it’s just up there when I wipe (it’s weird how I worded it) but yeah, I wasn’t sure if I should of taken the second month of the birth control. But I took it any ways. Did I just mess up my cycle?
