Cystic acne with Mirena

Hi all! I got my Mirena inserted June 2017, spotted for 3 months then stopped bleeding. It’s all been dandy, except I went from having totally clear skin and no blemishes whatsoever to constant cystic acne on my cheeks and chin.

I went to a dermatologist and tried spironolactone and a topical cream. The cream just dried me out and I didn’t notice any improvements from the spironolactone.

My skin has been ravaged and its bad enough that I’m wondering if I should just get the IUD out.

Has anyone else experienced this?
