Navel Piercing - What do you think?

I went in and got my navel done about a year ago and last January it ended up getting ripped out. I proceeded to let it close and it healed fine except it left a nasty scar.

This past Tuesday, I went and got it done again from the same lady. I got it above the scar because that’s what the girl who did it recommended. It didn’t hurt at all getting it pierced.

The past couple days it hurt somewhat. I understand I just got the piercing but it’s a red circular splotch that goes from the bottom ball up to the top of the ball. Is that normal or am I just overreacting?

Also, I feel like the jewelry is too short?
