Another baby?

I hope you’ll be kind and positive but I am just so unsure of this topic! I want another baby, my partner and I have always discussed we want 3-4 children. I currently have a 15 month old, but what’s holding me back is I am soooo nervous and worried it might affect him badly. I’ve seen so many bad comments or mums saying they regret having them close. If I was to fall pregnant there would be a 2 year gap (depending how quickly I fell pregnant). I’m worried it might take crucial time away from my son. Is this silly to think like this? Is it normal to worry about something like this? It’s not really something I can talk about with my friends, they aren’t mums themselves. My husband is super keen for another babe and always says he is ready. I don’t know what I’ll get back from you all with this post, I suppose feedback of your own family dynamics with 1+ children and how it worked! Thanks ❤️

I say go for it if both you and your husband are feeling ready. It could happen right away but it may also take some time for you to conceive. I was close in age with my sister (11 months apart) and while we had our share of arguments in the teen years ... We we're inseparable at a young age. She was my best friend. 
My boys are two and a half years apart and I'm due with my third/last child in October meaning he/she will be just under two years younger than my now youngest. I have managed to balance my time pretty well between my children and I don't ever feel like one or the other has been left out. I feel it's a much harder adjustment for a child to be a brother/sister with a larger age Gap. But that's just my opinion. Good luck 🤞

If I could’ve done it differently I would’ve had mine closer! My first 2 are 4yrs apart and at the time my 4yr old was so jealous of the baby because it had always just been him😔 took him awhile to adjust! All my youngest absolutely adores his older brother but ya know big brother is “too cool” to play with a 6yr old! This time my youngest and this baby will be 5yrs apart...kids are all finally in school full days and here we are starting over😂 which could be easier with a newborn! I think it’s a matter of how you look at the age difference as both closer and further apart have perks! Just go with the flow and don’t overthink it!

My older 3 are each 2 years apart and they all get along an play so well together now they are 7-5-3 and seriously the best of buddy’s I am pregnant now 9 weeks this one so going to be 4 years younger then the last one when he or she arrives and I am worried they won’t be as close lol this baby was a huge surprise lol.

A 2 year gap is pretty standard - most of my friends have siblings 2 years older or younger. If you’re ready for another one, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Also there’s nothing to feel guilty about  - I’m having twins so they’ll never get to be an only child. Having a sibling can be a wonderful thing in itself 😊

I loved being two years apart from my sister. I feel like it was the perfect gap. Well, we are 22 months apart. So we planned our kids to be the exact same and we got it! I was born in May, so was my son. My sister was born is March 22 months later and our second child is also due in March 22 months later. I’m exhausted already but I know it will be worth it.

There was a two year gap (1 year and 51 weeks, to be exact 😆) between me and my sister. It was actually perfect. We were close enough in age that we could happily play together but there was enough of a gap that I could be excited about the new baby (so I’m told, I can’t remember anything from that early).
