I’m tired of this IUD

I got the Mirena IUD back in June of this year and it has been the most uncomfortable experience ever. I don’t know, it started off good and then things went left really fast. I was having severe pelvic pain for a while so I got checked out and turned out I had a pelvic infection they gave me an antibiotic but once that finished the pain went away for about a week and it has returned but even worse this time. I’ve been bleeding for over a month and with the pain and other symptoms I’ve been really scared. I have an appointment coming up but I don’t know what to expect. Has anyone experienced something similar, did you have to remove your IUD, can this cause things such as cervical cancer, infertility, etc? Should I wait for my appointment or go to the emergency room?

Update I removed my IUD yesterday and no more pain just had a headache for a few hours. It’s such a relief to have that pain gone. It’s so scary to have to go through so many issues with different birth controls, I don’t even know what to do next.
