So I took my antibiotics and it’s been 7 days and i haven’t had any sexual contact, I’m just confused if the itching is coincidental (it’s not a lot and I don’t do anal but it was in that area) or if the meds didn’t work? I was told I didn’t need a follow up appointment and it felt normal after itching

Could be a yeast infection. Those are common after taking antibiotics. Try OTC Monistat.

I had a friend that needed 3 treatments to get rid of chlamydia .
Contact your doctor for more meds.
This is why doctors tell you not to have sex till you've been retested in 2-4 weeks. 1 treatment doesn't always work.

You're probably just still itchy because the infection is clearing your body and your ph is probably off downstairs majorly. I still itched for a week or so after but didn't have to do any follow up treatment
