I’m really confused and upset 😡

So I got a call from my doctors office saying they put in a referral for me to take the diabetes class since I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes last Friday. well I was expecting to be seen sometime this week but I got the call and they said the only appointment they had available was October 11th? I’ll be 34 weeks pregnant then! I thought they took having GD more serious, so idk why the long wait. I haven’t gotten any advice as to what I’m suppose to do until then. I’ve changed my diet with the help of google but I’m just confused as to why they are taking so long to get the right care for me!?
