Insulin issues

I have been on insulin for a month now and I haven't had any issues. My numbers are still higher than they are supposed to be and every week they increase my dosage. Yesterday they increased my Novolog to 30 units 3x a day and Levemir 30 units 2x a day. Today I woke up to all the injection sites swollen, ichy, red and painful. I called my Dr And he said just to keep an eye on it. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has had the same thing happen?
