The appropriate age

My daughter is 12 years old. Her father is Puerto Rican and I’m black. So she has a lot of hair. She recently just hit puberty so a lot of hair has been growing through out her body. Her eyebrows are very thick. So I took her to get them cleaned up, because it’s something she was very insecure about, and I also introduced her to nair, because I don’t want her shaving. My husband got upset with me about it. He says that that’s not helping her at all she should love herself the way she is and she’s to young for all that. I personally don’t see any problem with it. I want her to be comfortable with herself. I know my daughter is beautiful, and if doing all that helps her feel better about herself then I’m going to take her to do it. Did I do anything wrong?
