Do I say “I love you” first?

I’ve been dating an amazing guy for almost 3 months... he is an amazing dad to his two daughters and gets along perfectly with my 16m old son. I told him on Sunday that I was falling for him... & he said he was falling for me too. That he had felt that way for a long time but didn’t know if it was too soon so he didn’t want to say anything. I really want to tell him that I love him... I do.. but I’m so scared.
Thoughts? Do I wait for him to say something?

🙄 my parents said I love you early (and they were engaged within a year) and they’ve been happily married for 25 years. I said I love you to my husband after a month, we are now married with a baby on the way. Don’t let people tell you it’s too early or moving too fast. Only you know your feelings and your relationship. If you love someone there’s no harm in telling them, and it’s so exciting to be the one to say it first. Just don’t be upset if he isn’t ready to say it back. ❤️

I said “I love you” to my now husband after 6 months. And it took him almost 2 months to say it back. I didn’t mind because he explained that when he was in an emotionally abusive relationship with previous girl, she told him “the more you say I love you, the less it means”. But I told him how I felt...and now we are happily married! 
Everyone’s different. Every couple is different. If you feel it, wait a little bit to be sure, and then say it!

I don’t think it’s too soon. He is probably close to saying it if he’s already been falling for you for a while. Personally I like my partner to say it first, even if I have to slyly coax it out of them lol. But that’s just personal preference. Congrats on finding love! 💗

My boyfriend and I told each other “I love you” after 3 months and we e been together 9 months so far. I think if you think you’re ready to say it and feel that way than go for it.

I have been with my boyfriend now for 5 in a half months and I said I love you our first month mine literally slipped out with out me thinking cause I truly felt that way when I laid eyes on him and he’s just so good to me. It was really cute though

I never say I love you unless I mean it and i am lucky bc my husband doesn’t either. He only told 2girls before me and he really did care about both, but it was a different type of love or what he thought was live he was 15/16 so yeah you know what I mean, but when he met me he said it was a completely different feeling than he had ever had before and that was the same for me. I only told one other person before my husband except for my son who I had with the first person I said it to,(he hasn’t seen my son in over 9years now he is 12, my husband has raised him since he was 1 and my son calls him dad and calls his bio dad nothing, he just says a father/Dad is a man who raises the child a sperm donor is someone who doesn’t) anyways I figured out after we split and I met my husband about 8 months later that I never really loved him, and the feeling I get when I’m with my husband is,completely different and better. I was also 15 the first time I said I love you to a guy and thought I knew what that meant... lol was I wrong. I had my first son at 17. Now,my husband and I have 2 children (sons) counting my first son, and are TTC for baby number 3. Oh our kids are 12and 7 years old. We planned for our kids to be closer just didn’t happen. That’s okay though, maybe our last 3 will. Anyways good luck you know what is best for you, you will know when it’s the right time and won’t have to ask anyone for their opinions.
