First Trimester Screening (Nuchal Translucency) Did you have this done?

So I am 13 weeks 1 day and baby is measuring 14 weeks 3 days, so we were unable to do the test . I still got to see baby move and hear the heart beat! 💕 just wondering if anyone else had taken this test or would share their experience. The next test we were offered was Free cell DNA testing.

I opted out for both of my pregnancies. I figured that, regardless of the results, we were going to keep and love the baby. The results wouldn’t affect our decision to keep the baby. I also didn’t want to get a false positive and cause a bunch of stress and worry. We did test to make sure I’m not a carrier of cystic fibrosis, but that’s it.

I’m having my ultrasound for it this morning! I work in the special education field, so for me, the results don’t matter much. However, if something is wrong, I would love for my family and partner to be mentally prepared prior to delivery. Just so they could mentally cope with the baby not being “perfectly healthy”.
