Long Distance

My ex boyfriend and I were together for almost 6 months, then he decided to go to University in a different country. We both decided it would be the right thing for both of us to break up. It was a very mutual agreement. I wanted to do long distance because we were technically already in one I only saw him every 2 or 3 weeks, but he didn’t, he said it would be to harsh on me and that if it didn’t work he didn’t want to break up with me again because it was too hard to do. I miss him so much and he keeps saying we’ll get back together in a couple of years. I think everything happens for a reason.But I want to be with him now? I need advice please...
