Sex the cause of GBS?

Question

So my midwife told me that having sex frequently could be a cause of testing positive for strep B. Anyone heard this? We definitely have sex every other day and haven’t stopped since I got pregnant. I’m 37 weeks so...
Anyway just wanted to know y’alls thoughts    🤷‍♀️

Doubt it. My neighbor who just had her baby two weeks ago was positive and didn’t have sex once while pregnant.

Your husband could be a carrier and passed it to you. If you had sex before the test it AND he has it you would get a positive result. My midwife warned me and we made sure no sex in the days before the swab

I was told a lot of sex could throw off the amniotic fluid test... not the gbs though.
