I recently converted and I’m really new to all of what Islam has to offer. If you wear a hijab, how did you get used to wearing one and build confidence to wear it everyday? What are some struggles you’ve faced? As a revert, I’ve encountered many Muslims that assume I converted because of my boyfriend, which is not the case. He introduced me to Islam and wanted me to be informed of what it is and why he would do certain things. He never pressured me, always answered any questions I had and gave me insight. I began to read the Quran in my spare time and eventually made time to read it throughout my day, where I felt a sense of clarity that I didn’t have before when I was Christian. But being a Muslim woman, there’s a perspective that I can’t get from him, unfortunately. So what have you as a Muslim woman faced and any tips could you give to a revert?
