People never change

Does anyone else experience frustration when they grew up in a town, leave that town, but then see the people they grew up with still stuck in said town not doing anything with their life?? It’s incredibly frustrating to me to see people wasting their potential. My husband says that there’s nothing I can do about it whenever I say something about it, which I know is true. However, it’s just so frustrating to see people wasting away back home where they could be thriving somewhere else! It just feels like they don’t want to try! Anyone else feel the same?
