When to tell your work?

Hello fellow May expectant moms! I see a few on here who have mentioned they’ve already told work. I have so many reservations about this 😬 I work on a small but scrappy finance team and I’m nervous to tell. For those who work, I was wondering when you all are going to tell work.

I probably won’t tell until after the first trimester. Maybe week 14-16.

I had to tell my boss as soon as possible. I'm active duty in the Army National Guard and I needed to get a pregnancy profile to protect myself and the little bean. 😁

Thanks for sharing ladies! I was reading to wait till month 5 (about 20 weeks) at the absolute latest you can to tell them (if you can = if there aren’t physical demands that could create a problem or if you’re just not showing yet).🤞🏾crossing my fingers that no one asks. This should give them ample time to find a temp replacement.

I have workplace safety concerns and probably should tell them soon. I want to wait until I tell my parents and then I’ll tell work.

I work on a very small team, I told my boss that we were hopefully going to have a child in April/May/June and told him the expected date when I got my BFP. 
Me being out means needing to hire another person, so the more time the better. We won’t tell the rest of the team until I’m through the first trimester when its public though. 
I’d base it off of your relationship with your supervisor and your length there. I waited until 12w with my first and my boss knew we’d be having another so there was no point in keeping it from him this time.

I told my job about my first around 15 weeks, so I plan to do the same this time around. I don’t like telling anyone early. And that’s plenty of time for my managers to find someone to do my job while I’m gone.

I told my female managers when I got my positive tests. I will inform the men managers after my first appointment. We have like 4-7 managers. Lol

I just started a new job last week and had my first doctors visit today at 7w1d. I’m not telling them until after thanksgiving. 
I have 30 days of training and then a salary review after 90 days so I’m hoping to get through at least 60 days before I have to disclose to them. It gets me to 16 weeks and so I’ll be out of the first trimester!

I work at a hospital and my morning sickness has been so bad it’s been impossible to hide. I told my boss at 7 weeks because it started to effect my job performance. They were very understanding and it made my day to day sooooo much easier as they were more understanding and I didn’t feel the need to “hide” as much which dropped my stress level down a bunch. I knew I would need some time off if something did happen so for me it felt like the best thing to do.
