Need relationship help.

Hey guys. I am a summer fling relationship. And as you know it’s September. I want a serious relationship and I thought the person that I was with was ready for a real relationship as well. However they aren’t. They lack communication skills, compassion, drive, ambition, and thoughtfulness to be honest. And I want my freedom to be my own person and actually fine someone whose ready for the long run. I also want them to be free to grow, mature and live their life. Go out into this big world and find what drives them and develop a life plan. You know, find what makes them happy. They aren’t a bad person. Just not the greatest partner yet. I wanna end the relationship but idk how to do it. I don’t want to be mean and if I could I wouldn’t mind being friends with this person. But us in a relationship is no good.

Ps. I’ve never dump someone before. Please help.
