9 weeks spotting...

Hi ladies. So I was at work today went to the toilet at lunchtime and noticed a bit of brown when wiping. It's there every time I wipe... called midwife she said to put a pad on and monitor it for an hour or so and if it gets heavier to go to a&e and if it doesn't just leave it?! I'm obviously freaking out as not had any spotting this whole time. My scan isn't until 15th October I feel like I need some reassurance but I'm not getting it from my midwife 😥 has anyone experienced it? I'm so upset and have all these negative thoughts running through my head...
