Giving birth during the flu season

Is anyone freaking out about having there baby in the middle of the sick/flu season? I know a girl I work with who is due in a month and her and her hubby arnt going to let people hold the baby...not sure for how long but I mean I’d do the same except I think my family would absolutly hate me if I said they can’t hold the baby bc I am definetly afraid of germs and I have a very big family which means lots of visitors throughout the week ...they are overbearing so this will be constant for a while...should I just tell people to wash there hands? Idk if that’s good enough :/ I don’t want my newborn getting sick
