At Home Insemination Kits?

Has anyone ever heard of/used an at home insemination kit? My husband and I are at the point of needing IUI or IVF to conceive and I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with using an at home kit. Did you conceive? Did you just end up doing IUI in the office? Is one kit better than another? Anything I should be aware of? Any discussion/suggestions would be great.
