When did your husbands want a baby?

How long did it take for your husbands to actually want to have a baby? 
I am only 23 and he’s 26 but I think about having kids at least once a day. I have dreams of being pregnant, telling family, and giving birth, and having kids at least once a month. I know we are young and should enjoy the life we have and I do. I just have a yearning to care for my own children. 
Every time I bring it up he assumes I don’t love our life as it is. 😓
My husband simply doesn’t want kids right now and I would never rush him into it as I want him to enjoy that stage of our lives. 
I just don’t know how long I will have to wait!! 😩

This is definitely something that is a compromise in most relationships. I don’t think that any one couple is necessarily set on the same exact timeframe of how their lives should go...however in a healthy relationship, communication is key, and therefore all you need to do is talk about it frankly with your partner. Be very open and honest about your feelings, and be very open with how you receive what he is saying as well or else it will be counterintuitive.

The kids and marriage conversation, came up immediately when we started dating. 
I was 29 when I met him. Slept together same night. Moved in together next month. Got married 2 years later. 
I told him from the beginning-if u are not looking to marry and start a family within 5 years, let's walk away.. he did not walk away.  We both have been around the block and sued the marry go round,  a few times before we met each other.. so we knew what we wanted.. we ttc when I was 33. Got pregnant first month trying.  Gave birth that year.  I'm now 35 and our daughter is 2 years old. 
If he uses the " you are not happy with what you have" to justify not wanting to start a family, unless you guys never actually discussed this before, he is guilt tripping u into making u feel bad for wanting kids. And if thats the case... that's messed up..

Those feelings come and go for starters so if you stop feeding those baby urges they will fade. You definitely confirm that he actually wants kids at all and have a real conversation about where he wants to be in life when he's ready and what he'll do if he doesn't reach those goals before your biology becomes a challenge.

When I got pregnant with my first I was 23 and my husband was 26. We planned the pregnancy but we had been married for 3 years at that point so we had already had a good stretch of being a 2 person family.

My ex husband and I had our first when we were 25. And me and my current boyfriend I have been friends with for 18 years are now pregnant with our first together we are 31.

My fiancé didn't want children until he was 42 years old lol! I think he was content with life as it was without kids. Then he met me 😊 Just give him time, maybe try to get a time frame out of him?

My husband was 31 when he suggested we start trying to have a baby. For some reason he felt super old when he turned 31. Prior to that, he was unsure if he wanted kids. He’s the oldest of 7 kids and comes from a broken/abusive family. So I think his whole life he didn’t like the idea of having his own kids. But then he changed his mind.

It’s very tough when one couple wants kids and the other wants to wait a bit. I completely understand that. I, in me and my husbands relationship, was actually the one who didn’t know when we should start having kids. I was really scared that because it wasn’t the norm to start a family younger, it would be shamed upon. But when my husband came to me and came honestly on how he felt about family and how that’s apart of him that he wants to share with me and having a big family doesn’t have to happen right away, it helped ease my mind on waiting a while to start our family and reminded me why I fell in love with him. I’m not saying your husband may just change his entire outlook on a family, but if he married you and is loving to you, he will certainly want to reach a compromise to when to start your family ❤️

My husband has two grown sons already but decided he wanted one more with me. I never thought about babies until after I met him. Brought it up one day and luckily he was on board. We waited to be married first though. He’ll be a dad again at 49. having our girl in December. 😊
