Exam for birth control??

I’m a minor and I’m going to the doctors today to ask for birth control and I’m being told many different things. Do they have to give physical exams for minors or not?

Depends on your doctor and what birth control you are going to get. Also if you’ve already had sex then you should get an exam to test for STDs

It really depends on the office. 
I started getting pelvic exams when I was 18 and that marked about 3 years of using the pill. They offered to do paps at that age for me as well but they weren’t required as I wasn’t sexually active at the time. 
A breast exam will likely be done to see what kind of breast tissue you have and each year after it will be done to see if you can continue taking estrogen if you’re using a combination method. 
If you’re considering an iud they will examine your cervix to see if you might need any medications to make insertion easier.

Depends. I had a physical done but didn’t have to have anything done down there when I was living in Florida. When I moved to ga they had to do a full physical. So just call up there and ask.
