Safe to nap in rocker??

Is it safe for my 2 month old to nap in his rocker if I am completely awake and watching him? This is the rocker we have

If you’re awake maybe. I will say, this is the only piece of baby gear that my pediatrician asked we DONT use. The reasoning is that babies have suffocated by their chins sort of dipping toward their chest (if that makes any sense) and cutting off their airways

No. The only safe sleep spaces are cribs, bassinets, and play yards. Baby needs to be on their back and alone.

Yeahhh.... I was one of the bad moms that let my son sleep in his overnight.  He refused to sleep flat on his back after 1 month.  My pediatrician isn’t a FAN of these, but says if he actually sleeps then it should be fine.
 
His advice to me was to keep TRYING flat surfaces FIRST.  If after 15-30 minutes he is still fighting sleep, then place in the rocker.  🤷‍♀️

Technically no because of positional asphyxiation (and SIDS). 
But many women do allow their kids to nap in these. Some even allow them to sleep overnight in these.

The rocker I have is only slightly reclined  upward and is actually still pretty flat. I’ve always been able to put 2-4 fingers between his chin and chest (he is getting so big now 😭) 
So I let my son nap in his and even let him sleep in it during the night a few times (when traveling). My pediatrician said it was fine. He had a problem with reflux his first two months and when he was laying flat he would vomit and then choke on it in his sleep. There were two times I had to flip him all the way upside down to get him to stop choking and breath. So I actually felt safer letting him sleep in his rocker, and I got a wedge for under his mattress to mimic its positioning. 
Mine also has setting designed for sleeping in it (30 minutes for a nap and 6 hours for the night) 
I say talk to your pediatrician for sure. Read some reviews for your specific rocker. Try your baby in it for a nap and check the breathing. If you feel after those steps it is safe then go for it. Babies gotta sleep 🤷🏻‍♀️
