Possible abruption
When my son was born 2 years ago it was a pretty traumatic birth due to a crappy, selfish OB. I believe that basically she just wanted to scare me enough that I’d demand a c-section so she could get on with her day. The thing that scares me most about what she did is she told me when she broke my water there was some blood which she assumed was maybe placenta abruption. It clearly wasn’t a lot since it wasn’t treated as emergency and she never said anything else about it. When she was looking at my delivered placenta the only thing she said was it was a “short” cord. Didn’t even say how short and I was obviously distracted with my beautiful baby boy and didn’t think at the time to ask about either “problem”. But now as my husband and I are trying for our second baby I worry about the chances of these things happening again. Especially the abruption... if it really did happen... should I assume it didn’t since she didn’t say anything examining my placenta after? She never said anything at appointments after and I ended up switching drs before my 6 week PP checkup because she was causing me major anxiety and all around just an awful dr. I don’t even think she is a dr anymore. Would there be “delivery notes” somewhere with that info on them? I just don’t know what to do or what to believe... I really want to have a natural water birth with the next baby but worry I won’t be able to... I’m sure this all makes me sound stupid but I really just feel so traumatized and confused about the labor and looking for some reassurance. 😓
