Do you change your newborns (4weeks old and up) diaper if just wet at night?

Just curious. Sometimes I do if he needs to wake up I finish eating. Just worried about soaking through and it being more of a process in middle of night to change him. I slather in Desitin at night as well to seal out wetness. Also; what size do nighttime diapers start? I only see size 3 and up. Haven’t seen a size 2.

I changed my daughter every time she ate, they wake up every so often. So before feeding her, I would change her. I see it like this, I wouldn’t want to sit in a wet diaper and most people don’t. So why should they, just because they can’t speak. 
And most newborns wake up 2-4hours

I did and realized if baby is fine, leave it til morning.

Typical I’ll change it when he wakes up/eats. However sometimes there’s BARELY anything in his diaper. Like there may be a few drops of urine but otherwise is a clean diaper, for those few I don’t change it till it gets more full
