Spotting early, no period, BFNs

I’ve been off birth control (IUD) for about a year now and my cycle got right back into the groove and was regular within a month. We started about 6 months ago by first trying our luck and watching my cycle and knowing my window based on a few apps. No luck after a few months so started using opk. I had a few months where I had solid smiley and made sure we were active in the window, but still had a visit from AF.

This past month, same thing, minus I haven’t had an official visit from AF, that I know of. I had my last actual period (heavy cramping, heavy flow first day, medium second day, light third day) on Aug 21st. Had my fertile window and positive opk and made sure we were active during it. My period was due on Sept 18th. On Sept 12th (6 days early) I wiped and had bright pink, but VERY light spotting. No cramps and nothing else after that. Sept 14th I woke up in the middle of the night with cramping and thought for sure it was AF (albeit still 4 days early), but when i went to the bathroom, just VERY light brown spotting. I put a pad on just to be sure and between that day and the next, there was nothing on the pads, only just spotting when I wiped and the cramps dissipated within the first few hours and didn’t linger like they usually do.

I asked my GYN and she said if I haven’t had a period in a week (which would be today) then to test again as all the hpt were BFN. She said it could have just been a weird period, but that would be really weird for me. I also adjusted my apps to say that the spotting was actually a period and when I did that it said I should be in my fertile window now, so took opk and that’s a negative too!

This is so frustrating. 😩
