Induction with vbac?
I was wondering if anyone has more info on this. I was talking with my midwife yesterday in regards to vbac. I asked if they did inductions with vbacs and she said they'd do pitocin in slow low-dose quantities if necessary. It was my understanding that it's unsafe to induce labor with drugs for an attempted vbac. And she said it increases the risk of uterine rupture to 1-3%. She also said typically they only let you push for about 2 hours depending on descent of baby.
Any info on induction with vbac would be amazing. I'm already nervous about a vbac and uterine rupture as the births will be 15 months apart. Im really uncomfortable with being medically induced if necessary. She didn't give any other induction methods that they use other than breaking water. Thoughts? What would you do?
I just want what's best for baby and safe for us both. I'm so nervous in general about the whole vbac/ csection decision.
Thanks!
