Pacifier conflict

So....my month old is SO reliant on the pacifier! At night I have been trying not to give it to her cause if she loses it outta her mouth she cries. During the day she has it more, but again if she loses it she freaks out. I let her cry a little to see if she will eventually stop, but never does and I give in cause she really throws a fit. Any tips? Should I continue to let her cry or what? I can't get anything done cause ever minute I have to constantly put it back into her mouth.
